Las Mobili, action, cameras rolling!!!

Cinema plays an important part in our lives; films keep us company, make us smile and reflect; they are often a source of inspiration that have encouraged us to recreate the same atmosphere in our homes as well. Film imagery is not just a source of aesthetic inspiration for homes, however, it also represents an interesting opportunity for furniture manufacturers. Las Mobili is well aware of the suggestive power of cinema and movie fans will have no trouble spotting the Las Mobili ranges and products in some of well-acclaimed Italian and international films.

In “DO YOU SEE ME!”, a light-hearted comedy, directed by Riccardo Milani in 2014, starring Paola Cortellesi and Raoul Bova, Las Mobili furniture is featured in several scenes with Logic, Enosi Evo, I–Meet, 5th Element, Hellò, and Neo Chair, providing a stylish setting for the office where the protagonist works, simplifying life for him and his colleagues.
As far back as 1993, Las Mobili products had already been featured in the well-known film, “FANTOZZI IN PARADISO”, starring Paolo Villaggio. The film has recently been aired again in a special transmission, celebrating the Genoa-born actor, who made Italian comedy famous and recently passed away. In the film, “eager” employees can be seen, hard at work, so to speak, at their 1990 MIX model desks; one of the most popular products sold by our company at the time.

In the same year, the tragic events involving the Italian judge, Michele De Francesco, were recounted in the film “THE ESCORT”, directed by Ricky Tognazzi, starring Claudio Amendola, Ricky Memphis and Leo Gullotta. Las Mobili furniture can be frequently seen on-screen, in their role as “supporting actors”, in the offices and meeting rooms of the state prosecutor in Trapani, Sicily.
Last but not least, Las Mobili took part in the 2015 film, “THE MARTIAN”, directed by Ridley Scott, which won a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, in addition to Best Actor (Matt Damon), and was nominated for seven Oscars in 2016.

Against the backdrop of the austere Martian landscape, the prestigious, linear I-Meet conference table with a wenge finish and chrome-plated structure, appears on screen several times and around which the NASA staff are involved in trying to find a way to save the protagonist and bring him back to Earth.
